Line 1: − The term "Common Era" (CE) is an attempt to erase the foolish, unnecessary Christian basis of the Gregorian calender, commonly split between two time periods, "BC" (before christ) and "AD" (ano domine), since not only is there little to no historical back-up for these dates (aside from the [[Bible]], a fictional tale written by greco-roman rulers hundreds of years after its alleged inspiration, and altered by nearly every culture since), but also because luckily as time moves on, the obvious uselessness of old worn-out belief systems has lost its stronghold on the minds of the populous and the need for Abrahamic religions based on control, fear, and complacency has increasingly lost its appeal. Apparently people are now realizing that they can easily make their own well-advised decisions without basing their ideals on the fear of punishment by eternal hellfire and damnation from a Christian God (which logically can not exist<ref>http://www.everything2.com/index.pl?node=Beyond%20Belief%3A%20Why%20God%20Cannot%20Exist"></ref>), but rather, simply based around the idea of intelligence and the fact that being a good person not only makes logical sense, but feels good. Unfortunately, the more we as a populous move away from these foolish old traditions, the stronger the confused, uninformed masses who have yet to be exposed to truths like these hold on to their beliefs, and the more distorted their ideals become. For example, some people actually take the change from BC/AD to BCE/CE as a personal attack on their belief systems (rather than a move from unnecessary traditionalism that applies to a minority, to a secular expression for a completely secular idea such as the Gregorian calender). This is OK, because as logical beings we understand that fear is a very strong emotion, and it's hard to accept a transformation in understanding and ways of being. However, this doesn't mean it's necessary for us to pander to them, we simply need to help them calmly make the transition, and reassure them along the way that it will be alright. Over time they will learn to accept that morality can exist outside of God-fear, and that their right to believe whatever they want should logically give way to new ideas that make more sense (mental evolution). − − Here is an example of a Larval Humans idea of the "threat" changes like CE pose: −
