|According to director Lars von Trier, this ultra violent and sadistic serial killer film is meant to be seen as an analogy for [[Donald Trump]] (or as von Trier insultingly refers to him "Homo Trumpus") and his administration. This is a gruesome and vicious movie that glamorizes the murder of women and children - calling it a form of art. It relies heavily on Satanic imagery and Nazi iconography purely to shock and offend. Even most liberals were turned off by this movie!
