|The anime series (which had Chinese involvement in its creation via the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences) is pro-communist, anti-capitalist, and blatant Marxist propaganda, made around the time of the 200th anniversary celebration of Karl Marx, and in fact, actually stars Friedrich Engels and Karl Marx as the heroes, and depict them as exceedingly handsome individuals (when in reality they were not pleasant looking), with Marx in particular being depicted as fearless, a hopeless lover, and a good friend to Engels (when in reality he had the exact opposite personality traits).
