, 17:54, March 7, 2020update note on failure of Read aloud function - probably have to wait for the system provider to fix
I just discovered that other people cannot get Read aloud to work, at the following link at answers.microsoft.com [https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/msoffice/forum/msoffice_word-mso_win10-mso_2016/microsoft-word-read-aloud-function-not-working/71574fb8-3ff4-409a-adbd-1ddbe4a5a208 Read aloud function not working]. I'll get in touch with my own tech support guy to see what he can do. If not, this proposed audio project is dead in the water. --[[User:IndependentSkeptic|IndependentSkeptic]] ([[User talk:IndependentSkeptic|talk]]) 12:33, 7 March 2020 (EST)

At least for now, it's dead. My own tech support guy said he was not familiar with the Read aloud function, but will probably need it pretty soon. He suggested that it's the system provider's problem, like Windows or the Internet, and to wait for them to fix it. I tried Ctrl+Shift+G and other suggested letters like Ctrl+Shift+F, but all I got was either no response (F) or the trail of blue beads running across the bottom edge of the top search window on the page display (G). Have to wait and see. --[[User:IndependentSkeptic|IndependentSkeptic]] ([[User talk:IndependentSkeptic|talk]]) 12:54, 7 March 2020 (EST)
