| | + | |This fantastic film from (albeit, very liberal) director Quentin Tarantino is a love letter to the older and more conservative film industry. It portrays the main character's alcoholism as the main thing holding him back in his later years. It also shows that hard work always pays off in how successful the main character's career was. In addition to all this, the film's villains are hippies. The movie shows hippies as they are- brain damaged and really gross- and it makes no attempt to humanize them. Despite all of this, it does contain history revisionism, graphic violence, and gratuitous drug use (the latter of which is played for comedy and shown as fun and consequence free). |
