'''Isaac Soreau''' (Frankfurt, 1604 - Frankfurt, ca. 1650) was a German - Flemish [[Baroque]] Era [[Still life]] [[painter]]. Isaac and his twin brother Pieter (1604- before 1672) trained under Sebastian Stosskopf. Soreau paid attention to minute details in his work, often including insects painted with precision in oil on coppe. Many of Isaac’s still life paintings show profound influence from the Antwerp master Jacob van Hulsdonck (1582-1647).
