Florence Chapman Littauer (April 27, 1928 – July 11, 2020), was a Christian speaker and author of forty books who championed messages of encouragement, hope, and understanding. Her best known work, Personality Plus, sold millions of copies and is translated in twenty-five languages.

She was born in Newton, Massachusetts to Walter Chapman, a shopkeeper and part-time writer, and his wife, Katie, a homemaker. She received a scholarship to attend the University of Massachusetts in Boston, from which she graduated with a degree in English. She returned to Newton to teach English, speech, and drama at Haverhill High School and to help at the family store. She took a summer camp job in Maine, where she met Fred Littauer, a native New Yorker who was visiting his younger brother. After Florence and Fred announced their engagement, her drama students took over the wedding plans as it were a senior class play. Her wedding was featured in the former Life magazine.

In a 50-year career, Littauer addressed hundreds of thousands of people in the United States and overseas. She had the ability to encompass scripture and life stories into practical lessons. Her central theme was that dreams can be achieved and that helping others become the people that God intended..

She spent the last two years of her life in Lubbock, Texas, with her daughter Marita Tedder and son-in-law Chuck Tedder. Her other surviving children are Lauren Briggs and husband James R. "Randy" Briggs of Redlands, California, and Fred Littauer, Jr., and his wife Kristy of Wildwood in St. Louis County, Missouri, five grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.

A private family remembrance service was to be held in Lubbock. She is interred in her trademark "Silver Box" dress at Locust Grove Cemetery in Merrimac, Massachusetts, where her husband and parents are buried.
