The '''United Paramount Network''' (shortened to '''UPN''') was an American broadcasting television network created in joint venture between Paramount and Chris-Craft Television and would later come under ownership of the CBS Corporation. It premiered on January 16, 1995 with the premier of ''Star Trek: Voyager'' and would gather over 21.3 million viewers. This included ''Moesha'', ''The Parkers'', and ''Girlfriends''. Shows from [[the WB]] such as ''Buffy the Vampire Slayer'' and ''Roswell'' would later move to the network. But unlike the other five networks, UPN aired its children's programming on Sunday mornings as opposed to Saturday mornings.
