:::''[[sola scriptura]]'' or "faith alone" is a Roman Catholic construct created to refute Martin Luther who translated Romans 3:28 as "faith alone"; KJV translated the same verse "faith apart from works". Roman church "scholars" seized on the discrepancy and created a whole new doctrine of their own called ''sola scriptura'' to attack Luther.
