a start
The '''Big Ten''' is a college athletic conference which initially cancelled the [[football]] season in fall 2020 to the dismay of players and fans alike. The pretext for cancelling the season was the [[coronavirus]] pandemic, but many other schools and entire athletic conferences continued to hold their football seasons, as did the [[NFL]].

After being embarrassed by how other leagues are playing football without difficult, the Big Ten is reportedly going to reverse its ban and try to restart its season late, in October.<ref>https://www.cbssports.com/college-football/news/big-ten-set-to-reveal-plans-to-play-college-football-in-2020-season-per-report/</ref>
