'''Outing''' is the practice of revealing the sexual identity of a [[homosexual]] against his will, forcing him to "[[the closet|come out of the closet]]". Despite these clear repercussions, gay activists proceed with the outing under the premise that it's important to have yet another openly acknowledged homosexual.
