Mathematics is possibly the profession which deals with abstract truths and discovery independent of cultural factors.  Our current mathematical knowledge has its origins in Arabia, Greece, China, India among other civilizations.  Yet, in response to the Trump Administrations discussed above, the Mathematical Association of America's Committee on Minority Participation in Mathematics issuede a statement on October 2, 2020:{{quotebox|Critical race theory, referenced in recent Executive statements by the President of the United States, is an established social science inquiry which is grounded in decades of scholarship.
