Trolls and vandals only cause damage to wikis because they want a reaction. If you give them that reaction, that is positive feedback that causes them to create more sockpuppets. Jim Graye in particular is a long-term vandal. They do it because they hate the website and have no life. The best strategy is to revert their vandalism, have a sysop block them, and ignore them after. Don't post anything on their talk page or user page, just revert, block, ignore. This stops vandals from having fun while damaging the site. The majority of vandals are socks of him or the juvenile delinquent, who makes accounts with names attacking users. Thanks.
