:::I moved your paragraph on the subject down near the bottom of the article, as I felt it would fit in better with that paragraph.  I'm also not disputing his playing during the Series, as he did do a fine job, which is beyond question.  But the fact of the matter was that he did accept $5,000 for his part in the fix, and this is born out by the surviving transcripts of the trial as well as his confessions, and the Baseball Writers Association is stuck looking at that.  Without it, Jackson could very well be in the Hall of Fame.  And yes, I want to see him in the Hall of Fame too!
