Updated roster and info
The '''Vancouver Canucks''' are a professional ice [[hockey]] team based in [[Vancouver]], [[British Columbia]]. The Canucks joined the NHL in the expansion of 1970, but before this the team first began play in 1945 in the old amateur (later minor pro) Pacific Coast Hockey League, which evolved into the original Western Hockey League in 1952. The Canucks play in the Pacific Division of the Western Conference at Rogers Arena. The Canucks have never won the Stanley Cup but made it to the Stanley Cup finals in 1982, 1994 and 2011. The captain position on the team is currently vacant due to the retirement of Henrik Sedin at the end of the 2017-18 NHL season.
