Dr. Baumgardner is a staff scientist at the Theoretical Division at [[Los Alamos National Laboratory]], where he performs research in planetary mantle dynamics which includes the potential for catastrophic mantle overturn. Dr. Baumgarder has also authored papers describing proposed mechanism for the [[Flood geology|Genesis Flood]] referred to as “[[Catastrophic plate tectonics|catastrophic plate tectonics]],” at three International Conferences on [[Creationism]] which were held in [[Pittsburgh]], [[Pennsylvania]].
Dr. Baumgardner’s current work at Los Alamos National Laboratory involves the development of a new global ocean model for investigating climate change. He is also currently a member of the [[Radioisotopes and the Age of the Earth]] (RATE) committee and an adjunct faculty member of the [[Institute for Creation Research]].
