'''Witchcraft''' or '''black magic''' is the [[evil]] use of [[supernatural]] powers. Witchcraft may include any act or instance of employing [[sorcery]], especially with malevolent intent. Witchcraft calls upon the powers of the [[devil]] much like a believer prays and believes in the power of [[God]]. If you believe in God, and believe in what the [[Bible]] says, then you must believe in the powers of evil as well. You cannot take one side and then completely discount the other side. So, evil power is real and witchcraft is the use of it.  

'''Witchcraft''' Contrary to the belief of most, Witchcraft is NOT the use of black magic.  It has been proven throughout modern history, and is widely documented, that Witchcraft is indeed the "Practice of the Witch".  It is based from the ideas and representations of witches.

 

There is no Devil nor Satan in Witchcraft, nor witches believe in the Devil.  The Devil/Satan first appeared in Christian teachings. Historians acknolwedge the basic idea of the Devil/Satan came from the pre-christian images of the Pagan God Pan.

 

A "witch" was orginally known as a "wise woman" one that knew the insights to nature, who worked within th universe and works with the animals. She was also known in ancient times as a nurse, a confidant and practiced in all manner of natural remedies.  Witchcraft is the practice of this.

 

Mondern Witchcraft includes many forms of craft, beading, sewing, kitchen witchery (cooking), homemaking, working with the natural energies.  Many witches celebrate the seasonal changes in Earths natural cycle and don't rely on "supernatural" practices.

 

It has been proven scientifically that the false representation through the ages, specifically the witchhunts, were indeed false.  Witches were not able to ride broom sticks, they aren't able to fly through the air, they weren't ever seen to be kissing the devil - science has proven beyond a doubt that this could not have taken place.

 

Currently there are many practicing and famous witches and each of these witches practice a different form of Witchcraft.

 

Relations with the Devil/Satan are best left to the Christians and Satanists. Witches (some) have ties with Satanists, though prefer to work with the creed of "As ye harm none, do what they will" rather than working with a Christan concept of Satanism.
