== Resistance to Pacifism ==
Despite the teachings of Jesus which were always pacifist in nature, a decent portion of Christians feel that war and other forms of violence are acceptable in some cases. Terms such as "Just War" have been created in order to give validity to this ideal and use the reasoning that there are certain threats to American life and to Christianity that are worthy of aggressive opposition.
