Kim's personality cult is largely based on historical revisionism and many absurd and outlandish claims of his extraordinary (often supernatural) abilities and power.  Some examples:

One of the infamous cases of Kim Il-Sung's cult of personality is with the Juche Calendar, The Juche calendar begins in 1912, the year of Kim's birth, and his birthday (April 15) is a major holiday. In the present year (2021) the year would be 'Juche 110'.
