|A French high school teacher takes her class of unruly, unmotivated, disrespectful students hostage after wrestling a gun away from one of the students and forces the students to pay attention at gunpoint. The wearing of skirts is forbidden so as not to offend [[Muslim]] students. One demand that the teacher makes to release the hostages is for females to be allowed to wear skirts one day a year. The teacher, who is a daughter of Lebanese immigrants who came to France for a better life, is shot and killed by a [[SWAT]] team at the end of the movie.<ref>[https://youtu.be/bR4ZFMjHlUA ''Skirt Day''], youtube.
