Predictably, advocates of the [[homosexual agenda]] oppose and even seek to prohibit reparative therapy, analogous to how some countries prohibit conversion to [[Christianity]].  But conversion therapy remains fully legal and effective in nearly all of the United States, with the exception of recent laws concerning minors which passed in [[liberal]] California and New Jersey.

Screw whatever the right wings idiots have been saying about conversion therapy, it does not change someone's sexuality.  Conversion therapy is torture, and will always be torture, it creates social isolation and fear of any kind of intimate relationship regardless of it being same sex or a straight relationship, it also creates shame in oneself and promotes suicidal intentions.  You can't change someone who is gay to straight just like you can't convert a straight person to become gay, like you can't convert an Asexual person to be sexually attraction to people.  People who claim that their 'homosexuality' has been converted are lying, that's because out of fear they don't want to go back to that place of torture.
