Fauci was informed on February 1, 2020 that the covid virus was a [[bioweapon]] manufactured in the WIV laboratory.  As the nation's top health advisor, Fauci did not inform the president of the United States, nor anyone in the [[Department of Health and Human Services]] or the [[Center for Disease Control]]. Fauci's initial reaction was to cover up the fact that he had funded the research that produced the virus, and the fact that the research had not been approved by the oversight board.  Fauci arranged a teleconference with 11 virologists who were recipients of grant money from Fauci outside of government, who then in turn issued papers and statements denying that the virus originated in a laboratory.<ref> https://thefederalist.com/2021/07/14/dr-faucis-emails-tell-the-story-of-panic-lies-and-a-possible-cover-up/</ref>
