Changes

The '''[[Ford]] Pinto''' was a subcompact car made in the 1970s.  It was designed to compete with a new class of small cars from American companies like the AMC Gremlin and the [[Chevrolet|Chevy]] Vega.  These small cars came about due to liberal "environmental" regulations which also unfairly allowed Japanese companies like [[Datsun]] and [[Toyota]] to compete with American automobile makers.  This undermining of the American auto industry was not enough for some on the far left who went so far as to smear this little car with false accusations about its safety.
