::::::::::::The background to this was, and I'm speaking off the top of my head on several details, the US had something like 21 delegates to the UN organizing conference, of which the vast majority were hand-picked [[KGB]] operatives by [[Alger Hiss]] (User:FOIA's writings will have more detail and good sources). [[Lud Ulmann]], with lived wth [[Nathan Silvermaster]], was one. [[Victor Perlo]] may have been one, too. This information was common knowledge by 1952, after the Russians stole nuclear secrets and the [[Rosenberg]]'s were on trial. All these confluences of events led to COngressionl investigations.
