Whenever the left wants to smear someone on the right, they always just happen to have Spencer's praise. Spencer's always someone they point to as a scapegoat. "Oh yeah? Well, the scary Hitler man said that too!" The ironic thing is that he's supposed to be the evil Nazi Right-Winger, but then he'll randomly turn around and says totally liberal things, indicative of how he actually thinks. He's another fabricated part of the machine, almost like an Emmanuel Goldstein situation.
