|This anti-American and anti-War novel, as implied by the title, was written by the author (who had himself previously participated in the [[Nuremberg Trials]]) in a deliberate attempt to connect the actions of American soldiers during the Vietnam War to that of Nazi war criminals and strongly implying that they should be tried as such.
