I think it definitely is a given; anybody with sense realizes that genocide can ''never'' be justified. If someone did argue that, then stating it as "this doesn't excuse Hitler or the holocaust", without some citations or explanation, would weaken your position even further. Perhaps you can make a [[Rationale for World War II]], with sections like "USA", "Britain", and "Germany", and explain why each country wanted to go to war. From there, you can discredit whichever views you like.
