Diet Pepsi is a sugar free, low calorie, version of Pepsi. It has virtually no calories. It is marketed as containing zero calories, because FDA guidlines allow drinks with less than five calories to be marketed as calorie free. Diet Pepsi first came out in 1963 as Diet Patio. The name was changed to Diet Pepsi in 1964.
