==History==

The Lakeshire community was developed as a suburban neighborhood in the late 1930s and early 1940s. In order to guarantee efficient local services for its residents, it became incorporated as a city in 1951. It was named for one of its streets, Lakeshire Drive.<ref>https://lakeshiremo.gov/about-lakeshire/</ref>

One of the more recent events affecting the city was the development of Figi Park, named for former Mayor Emil J. Figi, in 2005. It is used for various public events, including an annual Easter Egg Hunt.
