Alden did tax fraud on her 2021 tax return. She had allegedly not reported the sale of over 1 million dollars worth of NFTs, and this was confirmed when she publicly admitted it and called America a string of [[profanity]]. She also publicly said she would evade taxes until "the end of time" and told the IRS to go f**k themselves (see [[Liberalism and tax evasion]], and [[Liberalism and profanity]]). She claimed she lost around 80% of the money they were worth, and thus she shouldn't even have to pay taxes, and the IRS should pay her, but this has not been verified by anyone.

She also ran a scheme where she would sell valuable items in abandoned sheds. She would then have someone else take the items out of the shed before the buyer could retrieve their items. She did not pay her taxes from income gained from that, either.
