'''Incels''' (derived from the term "involuntarily celibate") are people, generally though not always [[men]], who are frustrated at the fact that they are systematically denied the opportunity for physical intimacy.

'''Incels''' (derived from the term "involuntarily celibate") are people, generally though not always [[men]], who are frustrated at the fact that they remain celibate, despite not wishing to be so. The movement insults [[celibacy]], despite true celibacy being a virtuous trait. The term is also used as a snarl word by many leftists to deflect from any criticism of [[feminism]].

Some who identify with the label go on to commit acts of violence, including mass murder, such as [[Elliot Rodger]] in 2014.
