I never said it was okay that he backed McCarthy. Again, I stated that it was very unfortunate. This kind of endorsement should have never ever been made and it is a very bad decision on Trump's part. Also it doesn't make Trump a RINO backer because he has made some good endorsements too, such as when he just endorsed Blake Masters and JD Vance. He is 50/50 in his endorsement game, not 25/75 or 0/100, which differentiates him from a RINO backer. The defense budget is too high these days, I don't see why it needs to be raised at all. If anything it needs to be lowered by a lot. So yeah, voting for raising it should arouse suspicion about a GOP member being a warmonger. Also McCarthy literally walked into Biden's SOTU with a Ukraine flag on his clothes. And he was known as an establishment Republican long before that.
