Yale has engaged in cancel culture before, such as when they renamed Calhoun College (one of their residential colleges) to Grace Hopper College simply because Calhoun owned slaves. This is despite the fact that Calhoun was valedictorian at Yale and was named by John F. Kennedy as one of the five most important Senators in US history.
