→‎Pants: Sexist bias
Line 452: Line 452:
I'm puzzled by the linking of pants and feminism. I suppose it is an assertion by women of their independence but hardily any women, whatever their age, wears a dress where I live, though there's a few more in hot weather (I'm envious). Isn't more a matter of convenience than ideology?  It's the norm and so non-partisan. --[[User:RobLeonardWoo|RobLeonardWoo]] ([[User talk:RobLeonardWoo|talk]]) 16:49, August 7, 2022 (EDT)

:Phyllis Schlafly was a conservative woman who defeated the feminists by preventing the passage of the [[Equal Rights Amendment]]. I have never seen a picture of her wearing pants. [[User:Conservative|Conservative]] ([[User talk:Conservative|talk]]) 22:50, August 7, 2022 (EDT)

:What has this to do with the fact that most women of all ages wear trousers in North American? This has far more to do with  comfort and convenience than feminism. I suspect that more women wear dresses in more liberal Europe. Personally I find women more attractive in dresses but I  would not be so arrogant to insist that any woman has to wear one! --[[User:RobLeonardWoo|RobLeonardWoo]] ([[User talk:RobLeonardWoo|talk]]) 13:52, August 8, 2022 (EDT)
