:Why? The base rate is 50% based on United Nations statistics which the Harvard University historian Ferguson cites. And the UN is fairly China-friendly. Ferguson indicates that China's population is expected to drop between 50-75%. All the sources I have come across say that China is expected to have a big drop in its population.
