The first paragraph contains the sentence:
"The gap between rich and poor in California is more severe than anywhere, and homelessness is epidemic."
This is a malapropism. The correct word is '''''endemic''''', not epidemic. I'd fix it myself but the page has been locked since vandalism. Can an admin please fix this?
