For those more consumed in right-wing politics than preaching the Gospel or partaking in the Great Commission, separation of church and state seems like an evil left-wing propaganda campaign to erase God from the public, fabricated from a single line used by Jefferson. However, perhaps it's important to consider whether this concept is even antithetical to Christian doctrines. As stated in the [https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Mark%2012:13-17&version=ESV Gospel of Mark]:

{{cquote|And they sent to him some of the Pharisees and some of the Herodians, to trap him in his talk. And they came and said to him, “Teacher, we know that you are true and do not care about anyone's opinion. For you are not swayed by appearances, but truly teach the way of God. Is it lawful to pay taxes to Caesar, or not? Should we pay them, or should we not?” But, knowing their hypocrisy, he said to them, “Why put me to the test? Bring me a denarius and let me look at it.” And they brought one. And he said to them, “Whose likeness and inscription is this?” They said to him, “Caesar's.” Jesus said to them, “Render to Caesar the things that are Caesar's, and to God the things that are God's.” And they marveled at him.|||Mark 12:13–17}}

In essence, Jesus told listeners to obey governments instituting laws about their own property, and made an obvious distinction between Caesar, which represents the state, and God. However, what if the government becomes a theocracy and claims to represent God while mandating apostasy? It would then be impossible to simultaneously render to both Caesar and God; therefore, Jesus's words rely on the premise of separation of church and state. History has proven over and over again that theocracy leads to persecution of Bible-believing Christians; the church is corrupted by the power of the state it has control over, and its evil permeates the state and uses it to enforce apostasy. When the Antichrist beast system is established in the end times, it won't be by overtly godless atheist commies. It will be by professed "Christian nationalists." —[[User:Liberaltears|<code><span style="background:#FF8181">'''LT'''</span></code>]] '''''[[User talk:Liberaltears|(The Old Right was right!)]]''''' Saturday, 21:48, December 2, 2022 (EST)
