However, on social issues he was fairly liberal; his foundation has championed abortion on numerous occasions.

Perot declined the advice of [[Phyllis Schlafly]] to become [[pro-life]], and instead became irrelevant politically by supporting [[abortion]].  His foundation has also championed [[abortion]] on numerous occasions.  Also, Perot made the mistake of going third-party, rather than trying to win the nomination within one of the two major political parties.
