:Response: not desirable, but communist China essentially owns and controls [[Apple]] and where is the outcry over that?  Apple gathers far more personal information about [[American]]s than TikTok does.  TikTok requests consent first before linking to information on one's phone, and it is difficult to see what China could ever do with some phone numbers and TikTok accounts of random Americans.  The biggest objector to TikTok is its [[liberal]] competitor [[Facebook]], which censored [[Trump]].
