This ideology we nowadays call "[[right-wing populism]]"<ref>Despite its name, "right-wing populism" is nothing more than old-school socialism/progressivism disguised under a new mask. The same tenets advocated by the [[Progressive Movement]]—nationalistic populism, immigration restriction, racial identity politics, anti–big business initiatives, and government intrusion into the social fabric of society, are found among today's "right-wing" populists who are merely a different variety of leftists.</ref>—also deemed "national populism" or "conservative populism," apparently is an outgrowth of Christian values, or so its purveyors would like us to believe. After all, those fantastic patriots are simply trying to restore countries to the glory of Christian morality from all the godless [[Communist]] neo-[[Marxists]] and their moral degeneracy! What absolutely could be wrong in their understanding of Christianity?
