Daniel Wroughton Craig was born in Chester, Cheshire on 2 March 1968 to Carol Olivia (nee Williams), and art teacher, and Timothy John Wroughton Craig, a midshipman in the Merchant Navy and later a pub landlord. His older sister, Lea, was born in 1965.
