A video of a Ukrainian fighter pilot dubbed the “[[Ghost of Kiev]]/Kyiv” showed a jet supposedly shooting down multiple Russian fighter jets, causing several casualties. [[Social media]] users were quick to champion the pilot as a “hero” despite the video actually tracing its origins to a video game. The video was created with the 2008 game “Digital Combat Simulator” and was first shared via [[YouTube]], where the original poster acknowledged the footage was from a simulator.<ref>https://gamerant.com/ghost-of-kyiv-ukraine-video-fake-digital-combat-simulator/</ref> ''[[The New York Times]]'' tweeted: "Viral stories like the Ghost of Kyiv — a Ukrainian pilot who supposedly single-handedly shot down several Russian fighter jets — are of questionable veracity. But they're a key part of Ukraine's war plan, experts say, as it tries to keep morale high."<ref>https://twitter.com/nytimes/status/1499516258781437953</ref>

On the first day DC Metropolitan Police Officers Daniel Hodges and Michael Fanone and Capitol Police Officer Harry Dunn and Sgt. Aquilino Gonell were the first to testify. They gave fanciful, politically motivated<ref>https://nationalfile.com/capitol-hill-cop-who-claims-1-6-mob-called-him-nr-is-a-leftist-who-hates-tucker-carlson-retweeted-black-supremacist/</ref>, accounts of the protesters who were welcomed<ref>https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gvtxuDZRW3c</ref> into the Capitol building.<ref>https://www.cnn.com/politics/live-news/jan-6-house-select-committee-hearing-07-27-21/h_d1983ceee22a12466bc38aef1020ec87</ref> Adam Kinzinger choked back tears.<ref>https://theconservativetreehouse.com/blog/2021/07/27/performance-theater-soon-to-be-unemployed-adam-kinzinger-cries-during-j6-performance-while-auditioning-for-cnn-or-msnbc-job/</ref> The gunman who murdered unarmed protester [[Ashli Babbitt]] without warning was congratulated.<ref>https://thepoliticalinsider.com/gop-rep-defends-capitol-police-officer-who-shot-ashli-babbitt-you-did-what-you-had-to-do/</ref> [[David Laufman]] sat behind Michael Fanone. Laufman was the [[DOJ-NSD]] official who interviewed [[Hillary Clinton]] during the fraudulent FBI [[Clinton email investigation]] of 2016; Laufman quit the DOJ and started working for the [[Lawfare group]]. Laufman then represented [[Monica McLean]], the best FBI friend of [[Christine Blasey Ford]] who helped write the letter to [[Dianne Feinstein]] during their effort to block [[Justice Kavanaugh]] for SCOTUS Judge. Monica McLean was busted by Senator Grassley for witness tampering; and then hired “beach friend” David Laufman to avoid legal trouble.<ref>https://theconservativetreehouse.com/blog/2021/07/27/j6-committee-hearing-has-the-same-lawfare-producers-directors-and-script-writers-as-christine-blasey-ford-beach-friend-hearing/</ref>
