RobSmith's latest addition is nonsensical. A treaty was ripped up in November 2023 implies that April 2022 changed global politics for the next 30 years???? I will remove it unless someone can supply a better source. [[User:MayGodBless|MayGodBless]] ([[User talk:MayGodBless|talk]]) 22:08, November 10, 2023 (EST)

:There's nothing wrong with it; the 1990 Treaty on Conventional Forces in Europe facilitated the collapse of the Soviet Union. It took decades to negotiate. 34 years later puts us back to square one to re-negotiate a new treaty, if possible. :The treaty was first proposed at the Nixon-Brezhnev Moscow summit in 1972 and finally completed and signed in 1990. Both the Soviet Union and Warsaw Pact went out of business shortly thereafter, before the treaty entered into effect. The treaty is still in force among 20 other signees, (the US and Russian Federation excepted).
