|But I have a few things against you: You permit that woman Jezebel, who calls herself a prophetess, to teach and lead aside My slaves to practice immoral sexual conduct and to eat things that have been sacrificed to idols.

|A woman symbolizes a church. The Apostle Paul in 1 Timothy 2:12 strictly forbade a ''woman'' ("that '''woman''' Jezebel") from teaching ("...who calls herself a prophetess, to '''teach'''") and usurping the authority of a man, and elsewhere compares the wife of a husband to the Christian church. (Ephesians 5:25) Who is the man? None other than Jesus Christ. (1 Timothy 2:5) Clearly there is a secondary application of 1 Timothy 2:12 prohibiting a church from usurping the authority of God, a transgression the Jezebel power, a church hierarchy, is guilty of.
