Guckert first gained national attention during a presidential press conference on January 26, 2005, in which he, while working for [[Talon News]], asked United States President [[George W. Bush]] a question that the liberal media hated for being respectful of our Commander-In-Chief. Gannon stated that this question was not meant to be friendly, but to expose the hypocrisy of the "Left." The Left then retaliated with a vicious smear campaign claiming that Gannon engaged in male prostitution. These charges were never proven in a court of law though, so obviously this was an instance of the Left accusing others of their own perverted practices.
