In January 2024, Willis came under fire for using taxpaper funds to hire her lover, Nathan Wade, to prosecute the Fulton County case against former President Trump. Wade rewarded Willis with at least three elaborate vacations. Conservative U.S. Representative [[Marjorie Taylor Greene]] of Georgia has filed a complaint with the state against Willis. It is unknown if Attorney General Chris Carr or Governor Brian Kemp will investigate the allegations against Willis.
