He was generally know as one of college footballs best tight ends during his playing time with the Tulsa Golden Hurricane's. In his 2005 senior season he broke the [[NCAA]] tight end record for receiving yards in a season when he had 87 receptions for 1,235 yards. Also in his senior season he was named an All American by ESPN.com, Sports Illustrated.com and CBS SportsLine.com.
