The [[Israeli-Arab Conflict]] is sometimes presented as a clash of civilizations. Arab-Palestinians are supposedly part only of the Muslim civilization, Israel, the state of the Jews, is part of Western, Judeo-Christian civilization. Christians themselves are not presented to be part of the conflict. If they are talked about in a broader Middle Eastern context, mostly in terms of oppression by Muslims. It therefore seems logical that Christians would be presented as allies only of Israel and, together with it, defend their civilization from the Muslims, represented supposedly by the Palestinians. Christians are and have been part of the conflict from the beginning. Palestinians are not only Muslims, Christians are also part of the Palestinian Arab identity of a nation.

It's important to note, Christians' fear of criticizing authorities, as a relative small monotity residing in that non-free society.
