Changes

Robert Pattinson played Bruce Wayne/Batman in 2022's ''The Batman'', directed by Matt Reeves.  Colin Farrell and Zoe Kravitz played The Penguin and Catwoman respectively.  The film is a darker and gritter take on the character during his second year.  It was originally going to be tied to the DCEU, and would've been Ben Affleck's first solo movie as the character.  The film garnered positive reviews, with many sighting the film's length at three hours being it's significant negative.  A sequel, tentatively titled ''The Batman: Part II'' is due for release October 2026.

====DCU====

Batman's first appearance in the DCU will be in the film Batman: The Brave and the Bold, which is set to be released at some point in the 2020's.  This version of Batman is reported to most likely be lighter in tone than the last iterations.  James Gunn, who is the head of the DCU has stated this version of Batman will not interfere with Robert Pattinson's, which is an elseworld story, totally independent of the DCU.
