I found it amusing that they didn't talk about the sky-high prices of butter or potatoes in Russia (Potatoes are a Russian staple. Prices for potatoes have risen by 74% since last December 2023). Alexander Mercouris is a former British leftists so he is likely not up to speed on the topic of economics. This is ironic since military power rest on economic power given the high cost of fielding a military and he frequently talks about the war in Ukraine.
